i started going hard since the beginning of grade 12 (sept last year) and i’ve noticed growth in my arms, a little in my back and chest and a little on my legs. i am indeed skinnier, but i still look the same, with the slight layer of fat on my belly and love handles. i know i have less fat because i can’t grip as much of my belly, but i can’t physically see results and it makes me wonder whether or not it’s fat i’m losing or if it’s just the muscle underneath. i haven’t taken pictures and i plan to for summer where i’ll be trying my hardest to lean down, but are there any other things i can do to track progress? you do not get an aesthetic body though cutting. op – as many have said it would sure help for you to add in lifting, however a true, dedicated calorie restriction can absolutely have mirror results in 4 weeks.are you sure you’re cutting right? clothes start losening up, you get smaller, and feel smaller. but if you’re cutting effectively, on the other side of the gainbow is a pot of swoled. it varies from person to person but you need to have a pretty low body fat %. that’s why most people opt to gain lots of muscle first so that the results are more defined as time passes with fat loss. i’m somewhat happy with the results of the muscle building, but my fat loss hasn’t shown much.
according to the machine, my bodyfat was 15% a couple months ago, and i’ve definitely lost weight from that, but i still don’t have abs and i still have those dreaded love handles. in my head, i feel like i still look pretty much the same as i did a year ago, but when i look at my actual pictures from a year ago, the difference is striking. when i was about your age, i lifted like crazy for the football team. no idea my body fat, but i couldn’t gain weight for the team. it just took time for my body to change and get to where the gains from lifting really took off. i just for once want to see my abs and not have any love handles 🙂 take a progress picture right now. if you are working out hard, you will have nice muscles underneath when the fat disappears. i’ll do that. but one thing, i was told i can’t build mass during a cut, is that true? or should i work on toning my muscles? you see yourself every day so since the changes you are making are gradual you aren’t noticing them.
