best marathon training plan reddit

the asics plan was alright, just kind of generic and i didn’t feel like i really got a lot out of it. i think one of the big points it makes is that it will “coach” you and re-evaluate your goals based on your performance but half the time i couldn’t even get my runs to upload to the website so without that feedback i just didn’t see a point. i ran the race with a steroid inhaler but i knew 8 miles in my goal of 3:35 was out and i knew the inhaler wasn’t doing enough for me. i was actually feeling like i was in the best shape of my life and was excited to race some shorter stuff. in fact it is possible that the first time i ever ran into double digits was when training on hanson.

plan characteristics: it’s a goal pace-based plan. it’s 6 days/wk w 3 easy days and 3 “sos” days (something of substance)- one speed work/strength work day, one tempo, and one long run following the pattern of easy | speed/strength | off | tempo | easy | easy | long. marathon training plans, a discussion increasing number of intervals and some good mileage at i’m getting ready to start training for my first marathon (!), the nyrr tcs. for those of you who have used various, pfitz marathon plan, pfitz marathon plan, 3 month marathon training plan reddit, pfitz 18/55, 16 week marathon training plan reddit.
